Tenebrae means “shadows.” During this quiet service, we remember the events leading to Jesus’ crucifixion. As Scripture is read, the lights are slowly dimmed until the room grows dark. At the end of the service, the door closes with a loud sound, reminding us of the sorrow and finality of the day Jesus died.

As we continue the process of seeking God’s direction for our next Senior Pastor, we invite you to take a few minutes to share your voice.

The Pastoral Search Congregational Survey is designed to be brief—it should take less than 5 minutes to complete. Its purpose is to help us better understand what our congregation values and is prayerfully seeking in our next pastor, including leadership gifts, strengths, and ministry priorities.

We encourage you to complete the survey electronically for ease of collection and accuracy.

• Online (Preferred): Please use the Breeze survey link provided. Responses are submitted directly to our HR Chair, Phyllis Nelson, and will be compiled by her and the committee to help guide the search process.
• In-Person: For those with limited access to technology, printed copies will be distributed this Sunday during the 8:30 and 10:00 services, and are also available in the church office during the week. Form can be returned to the office or placed in the BLACK box found in the BELL TOWER or the offertory box mounted on the wall in Souers Community Hall.

The survey will remain open through Sunday, March 29. We encourage you to respond as soon as possible so the Search Committee can begin reviewing and evaluating the results.

Please note: this survey is one of several tools being used in the search process, and your input plays an important role in helping guide the direction forward.

The survey includes:

• A brief question about how long you’ve been attending CLP
• Ranking key pastoral leadership traits (such as teaching, shepherding, vision, and outreach)
• Ranking ministry priorities (such as worship, discipleship, children/youth, and missions)
• Two short reflection questions to help us better understand what makes our church unique and what matters most as we move forward

On Easter morning, we invite everyone to bring fresh flowers to place on our Easter Cross. As you arrive for worship, you can add your flowers to the cross as a beautiful symbol of new life and the joy of Christ’s resurrection.

All types and colors of flowers are welcome. Together we will transform the cross into a vibrant reminder of the hope and life we celebrate on Easter.

On Easter morning, CLP Kids will gather at both 8:30 and 10:00 AM to hear the Easter story, followed by an Easter egg hunt and a fun snack. Invite friends and extended family to join you for this celebration.

Honor and remember a loved one this Easter by bringing in a lily in a 6" pot to display in the sanctuary. Lilies will be on view Easter during the 8:30 and 10am service, creating a beautiful tribute during our worship services. Drop-off times are on Wednesday and Thursday, April 1 and 2, 9am-4pm in the office.

Please indicate the number of lilies you plan to bring and include a short dedication, such as "John Doe, Loving husband and father."

Step into the rich and compelling history of the Bible at The Forbidden Book—a one-day Bible History Symposium and immersive pop-up museum experience hosted at The Church at Litchfield Park.

Join Dupe Akindele-Odumosu for a Thursday morning women's Bible study (9:00–11:00 AM) hosted in her Litchfield Park home, centered on Forgiving What You Can’t Forget by Lysa TerKeurst. This study offers a compassionate, Scripture-grounded path for those ready to step out of cycles of unresolved pain and move toward lasting healing and freedom. Together, participants will explore what the Bible teaches about forgiveness, learn how to move forward when others refuse to change or apologize, walk through a practical step-by-step process for releasing resentment, identify what disrupts trust and vulnerability in relationships, and disarm emotional triggers by embracing the essential components of biblical forgiveness. Through thoughtful teaching shaped by extensive theological study and real-life insight, this group creates space to begin healing and rediscover hope for what lies ahead. Come learn how our Helping Hand Ministry serves families by providing tea sandwiches and cookies for memorial gatherings.  You will get a hands on demonstration of how to prepare the tea sandwiches.  All are welcome!

We are collecting new underwear for all ages, as well as diapers and socks. Your donations help provide dignity and comfort to those in need.  Donations will be delivered to Agua Fria food and clothing bank.  Donation bins will be available on Sunday April 19th in the Sanctuary.

Why Co-Mission Camp?

Co-Mission Camp is more than a week of activities. It’s a week of formation.

Our middle and high school students:

• Serve local ministries and learn what it means to love their neighbor

• Grow in biblical understanding and daily discipleship

• Step into servant leadership with missional mindsets

• Discover that faith is not passive—it moves, gives, and goes

Camp is hands-on, Scripture-centered, and community-building. Students don’t just hear about serving in Christ’s love—they practice it. Your support helps make that possible.

All proceeds from the evening will go directly toward Co-Mission Camp expenses, helping cover supplies, transportation, scholarships, and outreach projects.

Cost:  $15 per person; $30 per couple; $40 per family
