David Drake

David Drake

It is with heavy hearts that we announce that our friend and brother in Christ, David Drake, unexpectedly went home to be with the Lord last weekend.

David was a valued member of the CLP staff in his role as Facilities Manager.  Arrangements for a celebration of David’s life in Christ have not yet been finalized.  Members may leave condolence cards with an usher in Sunday worship or with Betty or Pam in the church office during the week.

The photo above communicates David's devotion to the Lord while singing in a worship service.  You may watch and listen to David singing "How Beautiful," accompanied by his wife, Kathy, by clicking the button below.

The Body of Christ

The Body of Christ

Join us at 8:30 or 10:00 for worship

Join us this Sunday and learn about the ways God blesses us to thrive as the Body of Christ.  Pastor Ted plans to share a sermon from 1 Corinthians 12, highlighting the Spirit's work in the body of Christ, the church.  Though many and diverse, together we serve one Lord as we all pull in the same direction.

For just as the body is one and has many members, and all the members of the body, though many, are one body, so it is with Christ. For in the one Spirit we were all baptized into one body—Jews or Greeks, slaves or free—and we were all made to drink of one Spirit. 1 Corinthians 12:20-21

You may access Sunday Scriptures and daily readings each week using the Revised Common Lectionary:  bit.ly/CLPBible

We, the Church at Litchfield Park, are a part of the worldwide Body of Christ.

CLP Kids: Worship, Learn, and Grow in Faith!

Join us on Sunday for CLP Kids Church!

Check-in by the sanctuary bell tower and join us for an amazing journey of faith! At CLP Kids Church, kids grow in their faith, serve in Christ’s love, and engage in God’s mission.

Children ages 5 and up start in the sanctuary, worshiping with the congregation to learn what it means to be part of God’s family. Then, they head to Classroom 6 for fun, engaging lessons, creative activities, and meaningful connections.

This Sunday, we’ll explore Numbers 20:1-13, exploring more of Moses’ story and making mistakes, navigating consequences, and experiencing God’s amazing grace.

Our program is growing, and we’re excited to see so many children learning about Jesus!

We’d love more volunteers to help make Sundays even more special. If you’re interested in joining this meaningful ministry, please reach out to Pastor Brenda at bhoulihan@clp.church.

Let’s keep growing together!

Women@CLP Study: Proverbs

Women@CLP Study: Proverbs

The Wise/The Fool/The Wicked by Cherie Wagner - Thursday, January 23, 2025

We live in a world that is drowning in information while starving for wisdom. Think about it. We have access to limitless information at our fingertips, but has all of this information made us wise? Knowledge does not equal wisdom.

Welcome to Proverbs: The Wise, The Fool, The Wicked—a seven-week study through the book of Proverbs. As we look to this ancient text of wisdom literature, may we come to discover the true source of wisdom: God’s Word. We’re not looking for more information. We are pursuing transformation.

Without God’s wisdom, we will not be able to navigate this world well. So, let’s learn to treasure the wisdom of God. Let’s learn how to walk in wisdom in a world of folly. May God’s voice be the loudest voice in our lives, leading, instructing, and informing us of truth.

Join us on Thursday nights, January 23–March 13, from 5:30–7:00 pm OR TUESDAY mornings, January 25-March 18, from 10:00-11:00am for this 7-week journey. The cost is $18 to cover the book and simple snacks. In a world overflowing with information, come discover how God’s wisdom can truly transform our hearts and guide our steps every day.

Want to know more about the scope and sequence of this study? The attached "Screenshot" is a note from the author with some details.
